Final Pitch roughly refined

The biggest problem with the last game pitch was that it was not refined and built upon since Week 3 enough. The game idea was still liked but the our team did not expand on the game enough for it to be a finalized game idea. Many game ideas left up in the air unanswered but our team has been brainstorming and adding in new game concepts, mechanics and visuals that may possibly be in the game.
Our artist has been designing our themed enemy mob in the game with silhouettes and the character you play as as seen below (credited to Beau and Gabe).

Green Light

Our artist in our game squad pitched an idea in week 2 and was completely shut down. Devastated that his game idea was shut down we went back to the drawing board and started brainstorming for another idea. After a day or so one of our 3D modelers came up with a game called Scavenger which is a 3rd person survival, "tower defense". The initial idea is to scavenge parts in a wasteland to defend the base during the night when all the aliens/mutants/zombies (have not agreed upon what the enemy will be yet) attack. Our group was a bit worried about the idea getting shut down again but after the pitch it was pretty much given the green light to go ahead and move onto the next stage of the games development.
In my spare time I have also been learning how to use Maya for future knowledge reference for studies and for the game. Tutorials I have been using are digital tutors which is highly recommended to use for learning new software.

Selling my skills

On 1st of March every student that was present at the presentation day all threw our skills at the teachers trying to sell our qualities to them. We also had an option to quickly introduce a pitch for a game idea if any to the teachers. I did not have any game ideas at the time so I only showed off my skills in animation in 3D and 2D programs.
